“ We didn't pick up the check at this place, so I don't have the name of our server, who is somehow related to the ownership of this restaurant. Our server was very kind and full of joy. I find when your server is happy it makes you feel better about the meal you are looking forward to. Our server made our party of four feel wanted. I also go to the restroom to wash my hands before a meal, to make sure my hands are clean, and it also tells me somethings about the establishment. If they don't keep the restrooms clean it makes me wonder about the kitchen. Thats just me! The three ladies in our party were happy with the food we received. The drinks were very good. The food was slow, but I understand that because it is difficult for many black folks to get the capital to buy the equipment needed to have a larger kitchen. My order was the highly recommended Peach Cobbler French Toast. The flavors were great, their choice of bread is what didn't set well with me. The bread was too thick. I also ordered grits, and they were too loose, I do not like runny grits. Also, the new thing with our younger folks is the loud music playing while eating. Some places we have been in the last few years even had a live DJ. If that what helps them bring in customers, great. Just make sure the food is the focus when it comes to taste and quality. ”

“ And just like that, I ended back up at Gritz Brunch Bar with my Life Group family from church. When it came time to plan our outing, we had a few options, however, based on my last experience at Gritz Brunch Bar, it was a go. Lic arrived early and checked us in, as they wait until the whole party is present to seat you, y'all know I had to hurry up as I was coming from the other end of Ga. Ha. Once I arrived, we were seated and told our server would be with us shortly. A few minutes after being seated, KeKe arrived at our table and greeted us then took our drink order. KeKe was pleasant with her welcome and greeted us with a smile. After placing our drink order we began to deep dive into the menu. Leave it to me to get again be torn between the 3 Wing Dinner or Peach Cobbler French Toast. At this point I just need to combine them. Lol. It took KeKe a few to come back with our drinks, but she seemed to be holding down a few tables and the bar by herself as everyone else around seemed to be too busy trying not to assist her. In any case, shout out to KeLe for keeping a smile on her face while dealing with so many people. We have to give Grace, especially when it's clear that it's not neglect... Once KeKe arrived with our drinks, we were ready to place our order. Now! After all that back and forth I did y'all, I ended up ordering the Pancak Platter with Bacon and added a side of Grits. Yeah. I know. Way off course. lol. We placed our order and went back to enjoying the music and our conversation. Gritz Brunch Bar has the best good feel ambiance. The music is always spot on for the time of day. It's never too loud and it's a great mix of styles and genres. The music def takes you down a road of memories that help add laughter and joy to the conversation. Shout out to Gritz Brunch Bar for understanding the power of music and using it for the good of the customer. I appreciate that. Once my food arrived I didn't want to talk to anyone. It was time to eatttttttttttttt. lol!!!! The pancakes were fluffy, golden, and truly homemade. Whoever's auntie-nana or uncle-gramps was in back cooking showed OUT with these Praise and Promise Pancakes. I'm talking not just good but good good. Buttery and Blessed. And the syrup was warm and melted into the pancake. Baby listen, this magical experience was enough to make me need a nap. The bacon was well done exactly as I asked for it to be. Crispy. Flavorful. Meaty. Perfectly Salty. And the perfect pair to the sweetness of the pancake. This is the kind of bacon that makes its own statement and needs no help from anything else on the plate. The Gritz! Lamb of Goddddddddd. When I say Gritz Brunch Bar showed us just why they are named GRITZ!!!!!! This buttery pleasure of warm sensations and pleasant memories was amazing. Not your 'instant' grits, this side of grits had the makings of love, peace, and elbow grease. Whoever made these understood the power of a good stir and didn't take their job as a joke. They stirred with care and seasoned the water to ensure the grits had a place at the victory table. When it comes to Gritz Brunch Bar, I will continue to take the hour ride for a moment of music, food, memories, and their sweet tea. “ My mom has been bragging on this place for some time now. I had to meet someone in Douglasville so I decided to try it out. When I walked in, the place was very nice and clean and the music was a nice vibe for a Monday morning. The waitress was very nice and she made sure our drinks were refreshed as needed. I had the wing plate with eggs and cheese grits. My guest had the salmon croquettes with eggs. Everything on my plate tasted excellent. The eggs were good, the wings were on point and the grits had a nice flavor to them. But, the hidden gem on the plate was the biscuit. The biscuit was soft, buttery, and honey glazed. I found myself eating like I was at my grandmother's table and using that biscuit as a tool. Definitely a great place to dine. Go by and get yours soon! ”
